Get physically ready to return to work

As we get closer to going back to work - ask yourself if you are ready physically?

Over the last few weeks, most of us have been stuck at home and keeping busy around the house.  Maybe doing jobs... maybe eating on the couch watching hours of TV and Netflix?!  There were a lot of people who dusted off their sneakers for a run or a walk.  No matter what your lockdown was like it is now time to prepare for going back to a physical job role.

If you think about going to work as playing a sport, taking 'time out of the game' reduces our playing capability.  You are at risk of injury if you overexert yourself, mistakenly thinking you are match fit.

It is common practice in rugby to continue training and physical activity even when it is offseason.  High-performance sportspeople keep up their fitness all year round.  USE IT or LOSE IT!

There are 10 links below.  They are just over three minutes each.  Click on the link and get the family to join in.

Or alternatively download the app HERE Or search Preventure Live on the app store.

This series of short exercise programmes have been created by a Scott Coleman, a physiotherapist from Preventure Live, to help us reclaim and maintain 'match fitness' so we are ready to get back to work when the time comes.
